“Have you eaten yet?” is a common greeting I heard over and over again during my recent visit to China. Typical Chinese grandmothers and mothers will immediately usher you into their home and offer some delicious traditional foods, comfort and company of family and friends. Meals are not just a time to refuel, but rather an occasion to gather everyone together among good conversation.
